More information

The Government recently announced its FamilyBoost proposal, including that Inland Revenue officials would engage with the ECE sector ahead of implementation. FamilyBoost is a proposed new childcare payment and would partially refund parents (or caregivers) for  paid ECE fees, 25% of up to $300 of fees a week per household.

In this webinar we will cover the current FamilyBoost proposal, including:

  • What FamilyBoost is
  • Who would be eligible
  • How much people could claim
  • When and how people would make a claim
  • What would be required from ECE centres
  • What needs to be communicated to parents and when

The FamilyBoost team will also cover the consultation for the policy, and explain what information and feedback they are seeking in order to ensure the policy is delivered with the needs of centres and parents in mind.

There will also be time for Q&A with our panel.

This webinar will be presented by IRD officials and convened by ECC Chief Executive Simon Laube, and will be recorded.
