The Early Childhood Council says removing Pay Parity rates for relief teachers will help centres balance the books and bring teachers back to permanent roles.

The Early Childhood Council has welcomed the decision to grant a stay of cancellation of licence so that Manawatu’s Country Kindy can continue operating for 12 weeks while their appeal progresses, and alleged issues can be resolved.

The Education Review Office has announced they’ve stopped referring Early Childhood Education services to the Ministry of Education for licence reclassification, which can lead to service closures through licence suspension or cancellation.
