Embedding the Licensing Criteria Changes
We're hosting a series of hands‑on workshops in Wellington, Christchurch and Auckland to help you confidently embed the Licensing Criteria change. Learn through guided activities that show you exactly what needs updating and how to apply your knowledge in your centre.
About the workshop
From 20 April 2026, the updated ECE Licensing Criteria will come into effect. These in‑person workshops are designed to help you understand the changes and confidently meet compliance requirements with our practical support.
Whether you are seeking assurance that you have done everything correctly, or wanting to extend yourself to feel confident you are ready for the regulator – this workshop is for you.
We will focus on the critical criteria changes:
The new medicines administration scheme
First aid decision‑making and kit management
Updated excursion approval requirements
Expanded serious incident notification obligations
Immunisation information
Ensuring parents get appropriate information
You will then be able to apply our insights and tools to update one of your centres policies as a group. You’ll leave ready to apply your learning and effortlessly update policies in your centre.
This session is ideal for centre managers and those responsible for managing compliance, offering a supportive and interactive element to extend your learning while complementing our existing online offering.
Morning tea will be provided for all attendees and there will be time for networking and group discussion.
