The ECC's Teacher and Educator survey was opened to gather information and insight to the teacher workforce in our sector. The survey is open to any teachers currently employed by a centre-based education and care centre in New Zealand.

ECC ran the Teacher and Educator survey report in November 2023; the full report is now available to download.
The data collected from this sample was highly valuable, with some key insights as follows:
- MoE has significantly underestimated the number of provisionally registered teachers working in the ECE sector.
- Positive team culture was ranked highest overall for job satisfaction factors; wages came in at fourth ranked place.
- More work needs to be done by regulators in the sector to regain the trust of ECE teachers and managers.
