Notice of Annual General Meeting

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Annual General Meeting of members of the Early Childhood Council Inc. will be held at the Wellesley Boutique Hotel, 2-8 Maginnity Street, Wellington, on Thursday 29th August, 2019, commencing at 11.30am. Only financial members of the Early Childhood Council are eligible to attend the AGM.


The agenda will be as follows:

1. Welcome and Apologies.

2. Approval of Minutes of Previous AGM (25th May 2018) and Matters Arising.

3. 2019 Annual Report of the Executive.

(Proposed motion: That the 2019 Annual Report of the Executive be accepted.)

4. Annual Accounts and Auditor’s Report for the year ended 31 March 2019, presented by the Treasurer.

    (Proposed motion: That the 2018-2019 audited annual accounts be accepted and forwarded to the Registrar of Incorporated Societies).

    5. Appointment of an Auditor

      (Proposed motion: That no auditor be appointed for the 2019/20 year.)

      6. Election of Officers and Executive Members

      7. Other Business

        Proposed change to the ECC Constitution – requirement for annual audit

        Any formal business will require a motion with 14 days’ notice.

        Proxy Voting

        Rule 12.7 of the Constitution provides that Any financial Member may appoint another financial member to attend a General Meeting and vote on his behalf, provided that the notice in writing of appointment of such proxy shall have been in the hands of the Secretary before the meeting commences.
