Changes to the Employment Relations Act and Domestic Violence
Reinstatement as a primary remedy is already in place.
From 1st April, the Domestic Violence Victims’ Protection Act comes into force, giving 10 days statutory leave to persons affected by domestic violence.
From 6th May, restoration of prescribed rest and meal breaks commences; as do the restrictions to the 90-Day Trial periods and protection for vulnerable employees.
A number of changes affecting centres on the ECE Collective also come into effect from 6th May.
