ECC Webinar: Preparing for a Funding Audit from the Ministry of Education

23/08/2023
15:00:00 to 16:00:00

This event has been rescheduled from the 29th of March to the 23rd of August.

A recent ECC survey showed that nearly 55% of centres had to pay money back to the Ministry in their last funding audit.

In this session ECC will help you prepare for a funding audit by detailing the audit process and addressing areas where, according to our survey, most errors occur, i.e.

  • Frequent absence rules
  • 20 Hours ECE
  • Enrolment record errors
  • Pay Parity and Extended Pay Parity

We will discuss best practice approaches to ensure your centre is compliant and always ready for an audit. The webinar will outline the approach to take if you feel the auditor has made a mistake, and the appropriate complaint procedures if you feel the matter should be escalated.

You will have the opportunity to ask questions of Ministry officials; make sure you are registered so your centre is well-prepared for the next audit.

This webinar will be convened by Simon Laube (ECC), Sue Kurtovich (ECC) and panellists from the Ministry of Education including Nathan Fogarty (Manager, Resourcing Monitoring).

If you previously registered for the Parity Funding Audit Ready workshop on Tuesday 28 February, you will receive an automatic confirmation email for the webinar. Please do not register and pay for this event. Contact Tracey (admin@ecc.org.nz) if you have any questions about this.

Cost (prices excl GST):
